Hundreds of Residents Turn Out for Job Fair

SAVANNAH, GA (November 8, 2018) — Over 800 residents and 100 employers participated in the City’s job fair this Monday.

The City provided resume assistance to over 50 people during pre-job fair classes that took place the previous week. Multiple residents left the job fair with job offers from participating employers and many residents had begun the interview process and were expecting to receive second interviews at a later date.

“The Savannah Job Fair directly addresses the City of Savannah’s strategic priority of economic strength and poverty reduction by linking available jobs with qualified applicants”, said Kerri Reid

Four booths in the exhibit hall featured support services provided by Goodwill, Savannah Technical College, WorkSource Coastal and the City of Savannah’s Housing and Neighborhood Services Department.
