Animals in Parks & Squares

The City of Savannah's Leash Law requires that all pets be leashed when visiting City parks, squares, business and residential areas. Failure to do so may result in a fine.

For your pet's safety, please observe Savannah's Leash Law. In addition to keeping your pet on a leash, Savannah also requires pet owners to "scoop" up after their pets.

Pet waste should never be left in the City's parks and squares. Responsible pet owners should carry a "scooping" device with them at all times when escorting their animals.

Not only is it polite and respectful to clean up after your pet; but you will also avoid potentially expensive fines.
