About the Department

The Recycling and Litter Services Department ensures all curbside recycling carts are emptied as scheduled and all recycling drop-off sites are conveniently located, accessible, and meet the recycling needs of the community. The department ensures all major arterials and rights of way are provided litter control at least once weekly and ensure all citizens are well informed of light issues caused by littering.

The Recycling and Litter Services Department provides residential curbside recycling, community and commercial drop-off recycling, special event recycling, public outreach and education, and litter control throughout the City via recycling and litter employees and community service workers.

Things of Interest

  • Residential Curbside Recycling Residents should roll out their carts by 7:00 a.m. the morning of scheduled collection, but no earlier than 5:00 p.m. the day prior.
  • Carts should be returned to a rear or side-yard location no later than 7:00 p.m. the day of collection.
  • Collection days: Recycling Collection Days
  • A fine of $25.00 may by assessed each time your cart is left out past the allotted time.
  • Trash or recyclables left outside of carts will result in a $25.00 fee per occurrence. 
  • Trash or non-recyclables placed in the recycling cart will result in a $25.00 contamination fee per occurrence.
  • Call 311 to request an extra trash or recycle cart.
  • There is a one-time $50.00 fee, but will pay no extra monthly fees.
