Community Housing Services Agency, Inc.

Housing Savannah, Inc. is an independent non-profit organization under the umbrella of Community Housing Services Agency, Inc., a longtime successful non-profit housing organization established in 1989 by community, business, and local government officials.  

CHSA, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), has been involved in a variety of successful housing endeavors including, in recent years, serving as master developer for the $110M redevelopment of 380 blighted apartments into 600+ dwellings for renters and first-time home buyers.  It has also administered and raised funds for the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund—established by the City of Savannah in 2012.  In 2021, CHSA raised a record $222,000 of non-governmental funding for the SAHF.
