The City of Savannah's water meets all EPA standards for lead in water and the Water Resources Division continues to monitor for lead at the tap.

Reduce Your Risk Of Lead Exposure

  • Flush your pipes before using any tap water for drinking or cooking by running cold water until the temperature changes then allow it to run a few seconds.
  • Use only cold water for drinking and cooking.
  • Remove and clean faucet aerators every 3 months.
  • If you use a filter remember to follow the maintenance guidelines and change out filters accordingly.
