Performing Arts

Belly Dancing

Belly dancing professional Yavanna Dobry will lead this 6-week class that will teach the basic movements and isolations, as well as the posture and styling of belly dance.

Healing Sound, Movement, and Breath Workshop

Sacred Sound Journey concert performance involves an array of indigenous analog instruments such as the gong, Himalayan singing bowls, native flutes, percussion, bells, chimes, hand drums, and throat-singing vocals. The intention is to offer an authentic transformative experience in which attendees are ushered into a deeper state of expanded consciousness and awareness through the use of scared sound and guided meditation.

Little Artists Creative Drop-in Play Space

Introduction to the Potter’s Wheel

Introduction to wheel throwing is an excellent start for those looking to learn the basics of making pottery and intermediates looking for a refresher course. In this class you will be introduced to all the skills that you will need to make your own ceramic master piece!

Introduction to Clay

An excellent start for beginners to enter the messy world of ceramics! If you are not yet sure what method of clay construction works best for you? This multi-disciplinary class will explore various techniques such as wheel throwing, hand-building, sculpture, glazing and much more!

Home-school Art Program

Come join our new Home-school Art Program to learn create and have fun! Each session will offer a different creative and educational activity that will help foster artistic expression. Students will learn a variety of skills across different media while learning about famous artist and art movements. Parents are encouraged to join in own the fun for free.

Ceramic Teapots

Construct a functional teapot using wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques while learning surfacing techniques and firing methods. Test out your teapot on the last day of class with a tea party on the lawn! 

Indigo Dye Workshop

Learn basic techniques of indigo cloth-dyeing as we explore West African histories and meanings of this ancient art form. We will introduce traditional patterns of adire (tie-dye) and adire eleko (starch paste resist) to create unique personal designs. Each participant will leave the class with a completed project!

Introduction to Ceramic Sculpture

Introduction to ceramic sculpture is an excellent first ceramic class for those more interested in the form over function. In this class you will be given the guidance and materials to produce your own sculpture less than a foot tall. Make your idea or concept into a physical work of art that will last a forever!

Introduction to Metal Crafting

Introduction to metal crafting provides a hands-on start to metalworking and fabrication of small scale jewelry pieces. In this class you will learn how to fashion your own piece of metal jewelry as well as learning the exciting process of metal enameling.

Intro to Handbuilding

This class allows students the time and space to fully realize their personal goals with clay. We will discuss techniques, problem solving, and developing an art practice formally and conceptually.

Guided Jewelry Open Studio

This is not your ordinary open studio class! Instead of kicking around trying to troubleshoot your big idea all by yourself, this class gives you the expertise of an experienced jeweler to walk you through your original projects. Each week the instructor will provide a short demonstration based on the interests and challenges of the group. The rest is up to you.

Felt Painting Mini-Class

Explore the intricacies of felt painting, as well as the methods and materials involved, in this four-week mini class.

Teen Clay

Join this fun and energetic class that will allow students to explore all the creative possibilities in clay. This course will have a mix of skill building and experimental projects under the direction of two of our talented instructors.

Exquisite Corpse Workshop 
Saturday, April 25, 2020 10:00am-1:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm
Ages 17+

Create a mosaic art using picassiette and found objects based on the Surrealism Movement. Learn some art history, play with mosaic materials, and have fun!!! No experience necessary.
