About the Bureau
The Public Works and Water Resources Bureau is divided into two main focus areas that both promote the safety and health of our public. Water Resources designs, builds, and maintains infrastructure that produces, treats, and conveys safe drinking water, stormwater and wastewater. Public Works designs, builds, and maintains the City’s streets, lanes, sidewalks and other public rights of way. The public rights of way are intended to both safely and efficiently move vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic throughout the City.

The public rights of way and green spaces contain one of the most critical elements of our bureau, the urban forest. Like us, our urban forest works 24-7, cleaning our air and water, providing cooler temperatures, and sustaining our urban wildlife.

We our proud to serve you and our beautiful city.
