The City of Savannah operates public bulkheads and floating docks on the Savannah River, parallel to popular River Street attractions. Mobility & Parking Services is the city department which manages these facilities.

The dock at Rousakis Plaza has water and electricity available for visitors moored for 3 hours or more. These services are available for a modest daily fee, in addition to the daily slip rate.

Public Dock Registration
The City of Savannah currently operates over 700 linear feet of public floating docks, and nearly 800 linear feet of public bulkheads. We're delighted to host visitors who arrive by boat, and ask that you fill out the dock registration form so we can get to know our visitors better. Slip rate fees for the floating docks are currently $1.50 per linear foot per day; however, any boat may use the docks for up to 3 hours at no charge. For more information, call the dockmaster at (912) 651-3634 Moday-Friday before 5pm. For information after hours, call (912) 651-6477.

Respecting the River
The City of Savannah currently operates over 700 linear feet of public floating docks, and nearly 800 linear feet of public bulkheads. The City of Savannah is pleased to host visitors to these amenities, and expects an active partnership with its visitors in being a steward of the Savannah River.

While at the public docks, visitors are expected:
  • Not to discharge any effluent into the Savannah River
  • Not to fuel boats while on the docks
  • To lock Y-Valves of Marine Sanitation Device II holding tanks in the "closed" position
  • To maintain, and produce a Marine Sanitation Device discharge log if applicable, and if requested
