About the Department
The mission of the Revenue Department is to ensure efficient and effective collection of City revenue while providing courteous customer service.

The department’s primary functions consist of:

  • Billing and collecting for the City of Savannah’s revenue programs, which includes property taxes and utilities
  • Coordinating the compliance and enforcement efforts for alcohol licensing and other business activities
  • Operating the Central Cashier's Office to ensure the proper safekeeping of revenue
