Department Services
Coastal Workforce Services administers job search, training, and placement services, funded by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998, to a nine counties: Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh.

The City of Savannah is the grant recipient for the Service Delivery Region XII and provides support to the Coastal Workforce Investment Board in the administration of the WIA funds throughout the Coastal Region.

The vision of the Coastal Workforce Investment Board (CWIB) is to provide a globally competitive workforce that meets the needs of local employers and attracts businesses from all over the world. The workforce is comprised of people that are continuous learners, multi-skilled, diverse, and self sufficient.
