About the Bureau
The Mission of the Bureau of Community and Economic Development is to develop and support partnerships that help build and sustain safe and physically attractive neighborhoods, a socially healthy community, and an economically prosperous city.  The Bureau is comprised of departments that create and foster opportunities to engage residents, businesses, and non-profit organizations in activities to increase economic growth and improve the quality of life in Savannah.  The Bureau’s primary focus areas include: Quality Affordable Housing, Corridor Revitalization, Citizen Engagement and Citizen Services, Community Planning, Downtown Maintenance and Enforcement, Job Training and Development, Business Development and Retention, Federal Grants Management, and Property Acquisition and Redevelopment.
