Alcohol Ordinance Updates

The City of Savannah is undertaking minor revisions to the Alcohol Beverage Ordinance.  Portions of the ordinance currently under review include: 

  • Continue to require server permits (Bar Cards) and revise process

        Sec. 6-1209, License Conditions and Restrictions

  • Address issues with Sunday sales

        Sec. 6-1204. Definitions; General Provisions

        Sec. 6-1211.  Hours of Operation; Sunday Sales

  • Clarify language with underage drinking when kitchen closes

        Sec. 6-1219.  Persons Under the age of 21 

  • Incorporate additional language for temporary event

Meeting Schedule

The City will host a series of public meetings to obtain feedback on the existing Alcohol Beverage Ordinance. Two meeting times are available each day to allow for maximum participation.  The same material will be presented at each of these sessions.
