Debris Removal Progress
Debris removal mapTo accomplish post-storm clean-up, the City of Savannah is currently utilizing 36 debris removal crews, 35 debris removal monitors, a full contingent of Park and Tree forestry staff, and our yard waste collection crews. In all, more than 225 City and contracted employees are involved in this effort.

The map below outlines where debris removal crews are deployed within Savannah:

About the clean-up
As of January 9, we have removed an estimated 331,515 cubic yards of storm debris. We estimate in total there are approximately 408,058 cubic yards of debris to remove.

Please note that we are planning at least three passes through the City during this effort. Following this first pass, some debris will remain on our streets. We continue to ask our residents for patience as we clean up our City.
