Workshops and Programs

A series of arts programs expand the targeted audience’s access to cultural enrichment.  By design, the program is multi-disciplinary, exploring the fabric, performing and visual arts.  Program design focuses on site selection and curriculum construction to make the program accessible to the targeted youth demographic.

The Department of Cultural Affairs offers curriculum based art programs. The initiative continues a tradition of partnering with community based and social services agencies to act as a cultural resource and to provide quality arts experiences for a diverse constituency base.

The initiative is structured to provide sequential, direct art making experiences that are tied to age appropriate state standards in arts education. Program structure emphasizes experiential learning that nurtures skill development.
