Are you an instructor of clay, fibers, mixed-media, painting & drawing, dance, chorus, creative writing, theater, and/or improv and available to teach one or two weeks this summer? If so, we have some spaces available!

Summer Art Camp begins the week of June 5, 2017 and concludes the week of July 28, 2017. 
There is no camp the week of July 3 - 7.

The City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs is now accepting resumes for creative arts instructors of various mediums to teach full-day Summer Arts Camp! Summer Camp is a week long, Monday through Friday, and will last for 7 weeks: June 5 through July 28 at 9 West Henry St. Children ages 6 to 12 can participate in each week-long camp and take lessons in drawing, painting, ceramics, jewelry, fibers, mixed media, puppetry, creative writing, acting, singing and dancing within age-appropriate group settings.

Instructors at the full day Art Camp work with children ages 6-8 and/or 9-12, and teen interns ages 14-18. The hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm. Each week, Monday through Thursday, instructors will teach five classes a day, one hour per group, with a maximum of 10 children per group. On Friday, instructors will meet with each group for 30 minutes. Students will take home all of their artwork at the end of camp on Friday afternoons. Instructors may plan multiple projects per week. Qualified instructors must submit to a background check. This is a contracted weekly position with no employment benefits.

The City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs is now accepting resumes for creative Art 
Camp Assistants. Assistants at the full day Art Camp will work with children ages 6-8 and/or 9-12, and teen interns ages 14-18. The hours are 8:00am - 5:30pm. Each week, Monday through Friday, the Camp Assistant will lead and supervise morning (8-9:30am)  and afternoon activities/projects (12:30-2:30pm and 4:30-5:30pm). Other responsibilities include assisting teachers with projects, supervising teen interns, and assisting the Camp Facilitator with overall camp structure. Qualified Assistants must submit to a background check. Applicants must be 18 years or older and previous work experience with children is required. This is a contracted weekly position with no employment benefits.
