Established in 1999 by the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs, Savannah's Place for Art, Culture and Education (S. P. A. C. E.) has been serving as the city’s arts education hub and providing a place for the community to gather, inspire, create and enjoy for eleven years. The 10,000 square foot facility is home to DCA's offices as well as a community art gallery, black box theatre and art studios. Each year, thousands visit S.P.A.C.E. to participate in offerings from classes and art camps, to lectures, theatre productions and gallery exhibitions. S. P. A. C. E. is located at 9 W. Henry St. (between Bull and Whitaker Streets). Free, off-street parking is available in the lot adjacent to our building.
