Interment fees in all city of Savannah cemeteries shall be charged according to the following schedule:

*The Prime Rate requires that interment fees are paid, interment orders are signed and funeral services are arranged with the cemetery at least 24 hours before a funeral service scheduled Tuesday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or at least eight normal work hours before a funeral service scheduled for Monday or the day after a City holiday.
Interment fees include:
- Recording and maintenance of vital ownership and interment records
- Determining ownership of interment rights
- Obtaining legal authorization for interment
- Consulting family of their rights and responsibilities
- Conducting cemetery lot boundary survey
- Probing, measuring and preparing accurate cemetery lot diagram
- Excavating and filling of interment space
- Ensuring rightful interment
- Supervising and recording interment process
- Sinking, leveling, tamping, and sodding of grave
- Removal of flowers and floral arrangements
- Re-leveling if necessary
- Defending rights of the deceased
