Greenwich Cemetery Drainage

Portions of the existing drainage system in Greenwich Cemetery are functionally incompatible with the cemetery itself. Storm drains installed prior to and below areas since used as burial space are not accessible for maintenance and repair. Some segments are simply inadequate to handle the volume of runoff. A new and improved drainage system is in order, to be installed beneath roadways and rights-of-way which will not interfere with burial ground.

The existing drainage system was located and cleaned in 2008. It has been evaluated for effectiveness and will be improved as funding becomes available.
