Keep Savannah Beautiful Background
Keep Savannah Beautiful-(KSB) is a local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful-(KAB) which is a national non-profit public education organization dedicated to improving waste handling practices in American communities. From its roots as an organization primarily concerned with litter prevention, Keep America Beautiful today educates millions of Americans on all aspects of waste handling and solid waste issues. Keep Savannah Beautiful is one of 500 local affiliates operating in 41 states. Georgia is one of the twenty-one states which also has a statewide program.
Keep Savannah Beautiful began as the Clean Community Advisory Council in October 1979. When the Clean Community Advisory Council was trained and certified by Keep America Beautiful, the name was changed to Keep Savannah Beautiful.
