City Meetings, Special Events & Holidays

  1. Building Plan Review (BPR) Meetings

    July 24, 10:00 AM @ Development Services Offices

    Building Plan Review (BPR) Meetings will be held on Thursdays at 10:00 am at Development Services (5515 Abercorn Street) starting on July 11, 2013. We encourage owners, architects, designers, consultants and contractors to bring building projects to a BPR Meeting at any stage in the pre-design or design process. These are informal meetings with City staff including plan reviewers, trade principals, and the fire marshal.

  2. Savannah City Council Meeting

    July 24, 2:00 PM @ City Hall

    All regularly scheduled meetings are held every other Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 2nd Floor of City Hall.

  1. Opening Art Reception & Exhibit: Sea and Mythical Creatures

    July 11 - July 25 @ Department of Cultural Affairs

    The City of Savannah’s Cultural Arts Gallery will present Sea and Mythical Creatures by Samone Norsworthy from July 11 – 25, 2014. Norsworthy takes a unique artistic approach to the use of watercolor, pen, acrylics, and mixed media painting. An artist’s reception is scheduled for Friday, July 11 from 5 –7pm.

  2. "Movement: Dynamic Expression of Jazz and Dance" by Carl M. Crawford

    July 17 - August 1 @ Beach Institute

    Savannah, GA

    The Beach Institute presents its only exhibit in the 2014 series with the continual theme A New Vision for the Arts. “Movement: A Dynamic Expression of Jazz and Dance” is an exhibit of works by self-taught freelance artist and motivational speaker Carl M. Crawford.

  3. Synchronized Robot Dance Recital

    July 25, 3:30 PM @ DeRene Middle School
    1009 Clinch St
    Savannah, GA

    The Savannah Coastal Empire Society of Women Engineers - presents the Synchronized Dance Robot Team. The SCESWE have worked with students to choreograph and program a dance routine with robots. This program allowed students to learn programming, team building skills and build self-esteem. Students will show off their work at a Robot Dance recital.
