August Episode of City Span Now Playing On SGTV
SAVANNAH, GA (August 1, 2018) — Savannah Government Television (SGTV) has launched the latest edition of City Span. The magazine-style news show features in-depth stories about the City of Savannah.
This month, Public Safety takes center stage with the naming of new Police Chief, Roy Minter. Chief Minter will have a new precinct under his watch when he arrives later this month. City Span takes you to the ribbon cutting of the Northwest Precinct.
In the 3rd district, the Pennsylvania Avenue Resource Center (PARC) will bring “cradle to grave” service for citizens on Savannah’s East side. Scheduled to open next year, City Span takes you to the ground breaking. Also on the East side, Waters Avenue continues to grow! City Span features a business tour held by our Office of Business Opportunity at this valuable corridor.
Hold your horses! Another Dirty. City. Jobs. has SGTV correspondent Matthew Wirth hoofing it at the stables. There is no horsing around with this SPD unit! City Span highlights the Girl Scouts QuestFest and hits the streets to introduce you to RoadBotics, a program sure to help “heal” our City’s infrastructure.
Other City Span stories include a huge new American flag hanging on Savannah’s Southside, what it means to the military and how it brightens our City. A feature on Edith Crawford who’s been serving our city for decade and the Summer 500 closing ceremony with a feature on a few students striving with Savannah Riverboat Cruises.
And finally…. THE GOATS HAVE MOVED. City Span will show where and what’s in store for the Famous 53.
