District 1 Alderman Schedules Two New Town Hall Meetings

City of Savannah District 1 Alderman Van Johnson will hold two follow-up Town Hall meeting to discuss City Council’s budget retreat, proposed fire fee, public safety, the new arena and other matters of interest. 

A Town Hall meeting is set for December 11th at 6:30 p.m. at the Godley Station School and is geared towards Savannah Highlands residents.  A second meeting will be held on December 14th at 6:30 p.m. at the Savannah Civic Center.  District 1 residents and concerned citizens are encouraged to attend. 

Alderman Johnson’s “virtual” Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 28 featured more than 7,000 Facebook Live viewers and conference call participants.

"Over the next two days the budget retreat will provide specific answers to questions asked throughout the District." said Alderman Johnson. "These Town Hall meetings will give me the opportunity to provide those answers directly to my constituents."
