The property is positioned on East Broughton Street, one block east of East Broad Street. The site is located in an area of active redevelopment. Approximate parcel dimensions are 52 feet of frontage along East Broughton Street and 62 feet along Barr Street. Overall, the site contains an estimated area of 0.07 acres +/-, subject to survey. The property is currently improved with a one-story cinderblock building measuring 2,940 square feet, according to Chatham County Tax Records. The City of Savannah is offering for sale to the public three adjacent City-owned parcels: 916 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (PIN 2-0052-04-011), West Waldburg Street (PIN 2-0052-04-014), and 420 West Waldburg Street (PIN 2-0052-04-012.)
The City originally purchased these three properties with the intent of assembling and restoring a former on-site building to house the previous Department of Economic Development. Upon further inspection, the former pharmacy building was deemed to be structurally unsound and subsequently demolished. Currently, all three parcels are vacant and unimproved and are being sold together.
