First Tuesday Tours of City Hall
Are you interested in learning more about City Hall's history, architecture and art? Join us for our monthly lunch-time tours of City Hall the first Tuesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. Tours are free, but space is limited to 25 so please register online, by calling (912) 651-4212, or emailing Kzacovic@savannahga.gov. The First Tuesday Tours are intended for individuals and families and are geared to a mature audience.
Youth Group Tours
The City of Savannah offers tours year round for youth groups at approximately a 3rd grade level of comprehension and up. Tours last 30 to 45 minutes and cover elements of history, architecture, and government. Upon request, a mock council meeting can be incorporated into the tour program. Tour groups are limited to no more than 25 students at one time. To schedule a tour, please call the Municipal Archives at (912) 651-4212 or email Kzacovic@savannahga.gov. Limited time slots are available and must be scheduled a minimum of three weeks in advance. Arrangements may be made for groups needing special accommodation. Please contact the Municipal Archives to discuss how to make a tour work for your group.
Adult Group Tours
Tours for adult groups between 10 and 25 people can be scheduled on demand based on docent availability (groups of less than 10 individuals should attend the First Tuesday Tours). Arrangements may be made for groups needing special accommodation. To schedule a tour, please call the Municipal Archives at (912) 651-4212 or email Kzacovic@savannahga.gov.
Can't make it for a tour and just want to stop by
You can visit City Hall Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. View the first floor Rotunda, crowned with a beautiful stained glass dome, and the current "Art in the Rotunda” exhibit. Upon staff availability, you may also be able to view our rotating exhibit in the second floor Council Chambers. Ask security guards for access. City Hall history booklets are available at the security guard station in the Rotunda.
