Fire Devices

This credit will be issued for devices that either help to suppress fire or warn occupants reducing risk to life and property. These devices include Code-compliant smoke alarms, CO detectors (if the building is served by gas), fire extinguishers, and hood suppression systems, where applicable. This discount is available to fire fee customers who employ one or more of the practices or devices described below:

Documentation Required to be Submitted with Fire Fee Discount Application

The Fire Utility customer shall provide the following documentation when applying for a Fire Protection fee discount for Fire Devices:

  1. Fire Fee Discount Application;
  2. Affidavit with Certification Statement; and
  3. Documentation as follows: Commercial and Industrial customers must provide third party inspection. Residential and non-profit customers can provide the make, model and serial number for each device, as well as the year of installation.
