The Savannah Youth Ambassadors Program fosters youth leadership and civic engagement through City-sponsored training, cultural exploration opportunities, and Make a Difference community impact projects.
Savannah Youth Ambassadors participate in leadership development sessions and hands-on activities that encourage personal, social, and civic development. Guest facilitators present on topics such as team building, active listening, diversity, public speaking, conflict resolution, environmental sustainability, social media, and much more. SYA explore various neighborhoods, civic, academic and cultural institutions, and participate in Make a Difference community impact projects. In 2018, participants will also host the first annual Savannah Youth Conference.
Participants will be chosen through a selective application process and must meet the following requirements:
SYA Summer Institute is held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. at Atlantic State University and various locations throughout the City. The program runs for four weeks, from June 6 to June 29, 2017.
